Klites manifested their knowledge quotient in Mind Wars Olympiad 2020

“Liberty cannot be preserved without general knowledge among the people”.

Another spur of magnetic storm seen in the brilliant welkin of Klites. Vardaan Goel and Shaurya Agarwal brought laurels to the school by standing tall as the national rank holder in the Mind Wars Olympiad 2020. It's a matter of great gaiety and pride for the school that in a competition where hundreds of schools from across the country had participated they achieved 6th and 9th national rank respectively. They will be rewarded with a merit certificate and a cash prize of Rs.25000
Shaurya Singh, Tanishka Kulehria, Artham Kansal and Preet Thakur were among the top 100 National Scorers and awarded with a citation and cash prize.
The School Management and Principal, Mr Sudhanshu Shekhar congratulated the winner, appreciated them and asserted that such winnings are inspirational for others.

 

Young Science genius stands proud in NSEJS

“Destiny is not created by the shoes we wear but by the steps we take”.

The rewarding hard work of our young science enthusiast Aryan Gupta class 9 was marked loud on records as he qualified for the NSEJS examination, the toughest science exam on higher Secondary level Globally. National Standard Examination in Junior Science is a segmented science exam organised by the Indian Association of Physics teacher in association with Homi Bhabha Centre for Science Education. Standing proud, he is the only child in the district to qualify for the exam participating among 310 students from the entire country.
Culminated into outstanding performance the proud prodigy was congratulated by the School management and Principal, Mr. S. Shekhar and bestowed their best wishes.

 

Mathematics genius won accolades in SOF International Mathematics Olympiad

“The will to win, the desire to succeed, the urge to reach your full potential… are the keys that will unlock the door to personal excellence.” 

Time and again our young klites have proved their mettle by not only participating in the Olympiads but also bagging the top positions every time. With immense pleasure, we announce that these students of K. L. International School, consistently working hard with dedication achieved amazing results making the school proud in the SOF International Mathematics Olympiad.

Evincing the acumen Shaurya Singh scored 3rd rank Internationally and was awarded a Bronze medal, cash prize and a citation of merit.

Ridhaan Kapoor, Aanya Singh and Prabhav Dwivedi were awarded a medal of distinction, cash prize and a citation of distinction. Paarth Gupta and Abhyuday Singh were awarded a gold medal of excellence and a citation. Raghav Singh and Kartik Singh were awarded a medal of distinction and a citation.

Klites have exhibited, by acing in the SOF National Science Olympiad virtually, another enviable milestone achieved by them. Students earned laurels & accolades for the school by winning coveted ranks in different categories.
Kavya Agarwal was proudly awarded a Gold medal of excellence and a citation.
Shrihan Tiwary, Vinod Sharma, Raghav Singh, Priyanshi Vatsa and Yuvraj Singh received a medal and citation of distinction. Aanya Singh and Shivashish Chauhan received a gift, medal and citation of distinction.

Klites proudly excelled in NSTSE (National-level Science Talent Search Examination) 2021

“Opportunities must be wrested and worked for, with perseverance and determination”.

NSTSE (National-level Science Talent Search Examination) 2021 is one of the oldest and most prestigious scholarship exams in India designed by the Unified Council to identify and nurture talented students with exceptional aptitude in Science and Math. Evaluated and rewarded for their mental aptitude. Scholastic NSTSE scholars are highly respected across academia and beyond. 
Klites have once again proven their scholastic mettle and emerged victorious at NSTSE 2021.19 students stand proud scoring different ranks. Akashi Gupta (IV), Aanya Singh (VI) and Shivashish Chauhan (VII) stood among the top 100 National achievers.

From class III Aaryaveer Agarwal, Maan Tyagi and Samvarta Gupta secured I, II and III rank respectively. From class IV Rohan Sharma, Aahana Mahajan secured II and III rank respectively. Class V proud rankers Preet Thakur, Priyanshi Vatsa and Shaurya Singh stood I, II and III respectively. Class VI achievers Mohak Nagpal and Mahee achieved II and III rank respectively. Akshat Goel and Bhavya Gaur from class VII stood II and III respectively. Class VIII proud rankers Prabhav Dwivedi, Vardaan Goel and Utkarsh Gupta stood I, II and III respectively. Arnav Agarwal from class X stood I in the School Ranking.

Young wrestler brought laurels in Nationals by winning Silver Medal

“Victories aren’t born in fields. You create them with practice”.

K. L. International School feels ecstatic about the phenomenal success of Ayush Singh (class VIII) for winning a silver medal in the Sambo federation of India, 11th National Sambo Championship held in Sirsa Haryana in the 64kg weight category.

Proving this verbatim to the optimum, Students of K. L. International School from classes I - XII outshone their competitors in Hindustan Olympiad 2021 organized by Hindustan Times. The competition is tailored to check the realms of intellectual challenges in all subjects. Proving their competence,18 students qualified for Level 2.

Bidding adieu ceremony evoked nostalgia for class XII 

Farewells always leave everyone with mixed emotions, and this one was no different. The day was filled with melancholy of separation and the exhilaration of stepping out to the world of new opportunities. The extravagant ceremony of the farewell Spring Phoenix was graced with the benign presence of Mr. Tejinder Khurana Vice-Chairman of the School, Principal Mr. Sudhanshu Shekhar and Mr. Harneet Khurana Honourable member of the management. They acknowledged the students and wished them all the best as they stride into the future. They motivated them to move ahead with a positive attitude in life and to always be in action. The hall was filled with applause as specially composed titles were presented to the students. 
Mr. KLI was presented to the present Head Boy Subit Shekhar and Ms. KLI was tagged to Devna Pandey. Mr. and Ms. Farewell were taken by Paarth Sareen and Parnavi Sobti respectively. Other titles left everyone with smiles to be cherished for a lifetime.
A cultural presentation given by the students of grade XI had a mix of energetic dance performances, melodious songs, and pulsating music.
The program got off to a start with a welcome song by the juniors in honour of the seniors. The Students of grade XII in their farewell speech mused fondly about their learning and thanked their mentors for helping them find their purpose in life.
Class XII apex body passed on the ‘light’ of leadership to their juniors. Thereafter, there was a spate of dance, music and laughter as the outgoing batch were impressed with the showcasing of their vast repository of skills. The day was called off with mementos and gifts added to their memory galore.

 

Scientific precision of Klites paved their path to the National level in VVM

Vidyarthi Vigyan Manthan (VVM) is an initiation of Vijnana Bharati (VIBHA), in collaboration with National Council of Education Research and Training, an institution under the Ministry of Human Resource Development and Vigyan Prasar, an autonomous organisation under the Department of Science and Technology, Government of India. VVM aims to identify and nurture the bright minds among the student community, who are keen on subjects related to science. Our students truly exhibit this belief by proving their mettle through their stupendous performances in various competitions. Adding one more jewel in the bounty of achievements. 
Madhav Nagpal class XI bagged the first position at the state level.
Another prodigy Sparsh Rastogi, a student of class XI bagged the second position in the State level VVM competition
Both of them qualified for the National level and made the school felt the ecstasy of pride.

Our literary geniuses excelled in SOF International English Olympiad 2020-21

"Believe in the impossible, hold tight the incredible and the shining future awaits you".
The Science Olympiad Foundation (SOF) conducted the International English Olympiad 2020-21. This online Olympiad is an English language and grammar competition for the students of classes I to XII. This year too, our students showcased their skill and talent winning the zonal ranks & bringing pride to the school. Displaying her prowess, Aanya Singh (VI) bagged the 7th zonal position & school rank - I in the category followed by Mahuli Agarwal (XI) at 8th zonal rank. Both were felicitated with cash prize of Rs 500/- along with a medal of distinction and a certificate. Shaurya Singh (IV) & Rohan Sharma (V) were also awarded with a medal of distinction and a certificate each for their meritorious performance.
The entire school fraternity feels elated by their success and lauds their hardwork and dedication. Congratulations to all winners for this marvelous feat!

Klites carved a niche in a competition themed ‘Khadi for Nation, Khadi for Fashion’

“Fashion is the armour to survive the reality of everyday life”.

K. L. International School believes in giving a multi-faceted dimension to the learning of art. In an endeavour to inculcate in young minds a sense of pride for our heritage, a two-day virtual workshop on ‘Khadi for Nation, Khadi for Fashion’ in association with Vidya Institute of Fashion Technology. The workshop was followed by a competition of Draping and Styling. 40 students participated wherein our proud prodigies Disha Arora (XI) and Zinnia Singh (XI) were awarded for draping and styling respectively. Citation and awards were given away by Honourable M.P., Meerut, Shri Rajendra Agarwal. 
School Principal congratulated the winners and apprised that such workshops inculcate a sense of national pride infusing with fashion. Overall it was an enriching experience!

 

Invigorating workshop “Police Ki Pathshala” reinforced the dictum in Klites

An edifying workshop “Police Ki Pathshala” was hosted in K. L. International School in association with Amar Ujala Foundation with much zeal and gaiety. The chief guest ASP Meerut Mr. Suraj Kumar Rai apprised the students with framed rules of Police Administration, norms associated with law and enforcement. Students quenched their thirst for knowledge by asking enormous questions which were appreciated by the guest. Valuable information was delivered through video and printed matter. 
Vice Chairman, Mr. Tejinder Khurana, the Principal, Mr. Sudhanshu Shekhar and Mr. Harneet Khurana showed their gratitude for the guest and acknowledged his presence with a memento.

The workshop was a huge success as it helped spread awareness. Thus, awakening in the young students a spirit of citizenship!

 

Stupendous success achieved by our students in the ANCQ’s Online Quantum Vault International Events

Each year a new success story of our students at the ANCQ's Online Quantum Vault International Events speaks volumes about the toil and dedication our students display. The school exalts the winning of our students this year as they brought laurels to the school by displaying chiseled out performances that won the ‘Platina Award’, ‘Aurum Award’ and the ‘Argentum Award’ in ‘The Sci-Pi Quiz’ by Shivashish Chauhan(VII), Devansh Agarwal(V), MedhanshTeotia(VII) and Gauri Goel(X) respectively. 
In ‘The Enviro Quiz’ Devansh Agarwal(V) and Medhansh Teotia(VII)  bagged the ‘Aurum Award’ whereas Janmejay Tyagi(VIII) was able to win the ‘Argentum Award’.

 

Tiny tots of Kindergarten celebrate Online Basant Panchami

Basant Panchami is an occasion which marks the advent of the spring season and is also celebrated to worship Maa Saraswati, the Goddess of knowledge and wisdom. This day was celebrated online with great fervour and enthusiasm.

The students of the KG wing attended an online celebration with their teachers where the event began with ‘Saraswati Vandana’ followed by enlightening the students with the importance of the day. Students also posted their photographs with colourful kites to add up to the gaiety of the occasion.

 

A Stream Selection Counseling Session

“Opportunities don’t happen, you create them.”
An invigorating “Stream Selection & Career Counseling Session” was held in the month of February 2021 in the school auditorium by a very enterprising stalwart in the field of career counseling, Dr. Vikrant Jawla. The workshop was conducted to cater to the requirements of the students of class X who are ever inquisitive and eager to possess a candid knowledge of the plethora of career options that are available today.  
The Principal of the school, Mr. Sudhanshu Shekhar, in his welcome speech motivated the young minds to fruitfully grab the opportunities that are strewn around to make a difference in the society. Mr. Vikrant Jawla’s prudent presentation on the factors like skill, interest, personality, qualification etc. that should be taken into consideration while choosing a career empowered the students with right knowledge and guidance. In a nutshell the enriching and enlightening workshop was immensely beneficial for young learners who will surely stride on the path of career with grace and confidence.

 

English Story Telling with Puppets

Using a puppet to tell a story is a wonderful technique that can lead children to discover the joy of literature & learning. The art of story telling is about bringing stories to life, and puppets undoubtedly are the beautiful add ons.

The KG wing provided its students a wonderful opportunity to create thinking through a ‘Story Telling with Puppets’ activity. Students participated in this activity with full gusto exhibiting creative gestures & facial expressions. A variety of puppets were used by the students to make their stories more interesting and engrossing. The activity was indeed a pure joy!

Heartiest congratulations to Vinod Kumar Sharma of class II and Aanya Singh of class VI for their commendable achievement in SOF - International General Knowledge Olympiad. Vinod has secured the prestigious 2nd place in zonal ranking and was awarded a prize of `1000/- with a Zonal Excellence silver medal, on the other hand Aanya secured 7th rank and a medal of distinction. 
The School lauds their achievement and congratulates the winners for their marvellous feat!

 

Inter House Tell a Tale Competition

A wise man once said, “After nourishment, shelter and companionship, stories are the things we need the most in life”. Since time immemorial, story telling has been an integral part of our childhood. To keep the tradition alive and to incite curiosity and the love for reading among children, an Inter House Tell a Tale competition was organized for the students of classes in I & II. The young, enthusiastic story tellers armed with their props came forth virtually with wonderful tales. Each house presented a video of the story for the final judgment. 
The stories were adjudged on the basis of expressions, confidence and presentation skills of the participants. Pragati House bagged the First prize followed by Prerna House on the Second position while Prayas House secured the Third position. Kudos to our super story tellers!

 

 

A hearty homage to Netaji through an Inter House Online Declamation Contest

“The right word in the right place at the right time can soothe and heal".

The students of our school fondly remembered the indomitable spirit and selfless service of Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose on his 25th Birth Anniversary which is also being celebrated as Parakram Diwas
The School organized an Inter House Declamation Contest to inspire our children to act with fortitude in the face of adversity. The students brilliantly portrayed Netaji and presented his original speeches. The competition proved to be very informative and enjoyable experience for the students.

 

 

Klites shined bright in International Aptitude Test organised by TUK

“Success isn’t about what you accomplish, it’s how you inspire all around you”.

To empower the students with an essential indicator, an aptitude assessment was conducted online this year by The Ultimate Knowledge (TUK) for classes I to X.
Our enthusiastic learners carved their presence globally by scoring exceptionally well in TUK-IAT (International Aptitude Test).
TUK paved the way for the learners as the aptitude test recorded 100% participation from almost 2500 schools in India and across the globe from all classes. Out of 547 participants, 222 displayed full marks whereas 157 received applause for their meticulous talent.
The School Management and Principal Mr. S. Shekhar congratulated the winners and appreciated them for their dedication towards the goal which has laid the stones of success.
 

 

Klites upholding the Nation’s spirit and integrity proudly on 72nd Republic Day

“Be the change you want to see in the world and feel proud to be an Indian.”

The exhilaration and celebratory spirit that Republic Day brings is paramount for every Indian. To add to the patriotic fervour, students and staff of K. L. International School took pride in glorifying and celebrating the spirit of unity and brotherhood virtually through a special assembly on 72nd Republic Day. The School Principal hoisted the National flag, the staff members present on the joyous occasion saluted the National flag and pledged to uphold the honour and integrity.
Multifarious virtual activities were planned where the school echoed with patriotic fervour as the children painted their hearts out through hand painting in tri-colour. A tri-colour food activity was organised which was enjoyed by all. This was followed by a mellifluous performance of the talented music teachers who filled the charisma in the air by the patriotic rendition of songs. Teachers’ speech delivery unfolded the values and true essence of a republic nation.The assembly highlighted the festivity and good cheer of the event and concluded by the National Anthem.

The School Principal Mr. S. Shekhar underlined the importance of observing the celebration in its true spirit and encouraged students to play a pivotal role in nation-building. 
 

 

An Interaction with the Ambassador of Latvia

Time and again our students prove that nothing can stop them from reaching the zenith and achieving their dreams. Due to their immaculately effortless presentation and victory in the Foreign Policy and Diplomacy Quiz Contest 2020, two of our students viz. Aaradhya Vasistha and Srishti Agarwal of class XI were selected for a Virtual Felicitation Ceremony and Interaction Program held on 7 January 2021 wherein they got an opportunity to meet and interact with H.E. Mr. Artis Bertulis, the ambassador of the Embassy of Latvia in India.

SHOW AND TELL ACTIVITY 

“It is the heart which inspires eloquence”. 

‘Show and Tell’ is an important part of children’s learning and development, as it helps them to organise information and builds their confidence. 

Keeping this in mind, a Show and Tell activity was organized for the students of KG wing. The students were excited for their descriptive narration and waited eagerly for their turn to talk about their favourite toy. The beautiful props they used added to the enriching atmosphere. This activity helped them get a realistic appraisal of their skills, to discover the power of spoken words and to acquire experience. 

 

Klites paid a vibrant tribute to Swami Vivekananda on his 158th Birth Anniversary

“Fill the brain with high thoughts, highest ideals, place them day and night before you, and out of that will come great work” - Swami Vivekananda. 
To commemorate the 158th birth anniversary of Swami Vivekananda, a maker of Modern India, National Youth Day is celebrated with great joy & enthusiasm on 12th January.Such precious thoughts and ideologies of Swami Vivekananda were honoured as students of K. L. International School celebrated the birthday of Swami Vivekananda, a spiritual genius of commanding intellect and power.
Multifarious virtual activities were beautifully executed. Classes 3 to 5 made inspirational sketches and sung melodious songs. Classes 6 to 8 presented recital tribute by singing motivational songs and playing instrumental music. An inspirational documentary was screened depicting incidents from Swami Vivekananda’s life which enlightened the elated audience.  For the senior wing online painting, elocution, poem writing and essay writing competitions were organised. The enthralling performances by the students through songs, skits and recitation enabled everyone to know about Swamiji’s power of concentration, focus, his curious nature and his determination.
The School Management and Principal, Mr. S. Shekhar appreciated the efforts of everyone involved and asserted that the event was intended to instill positive attitude, discipline and develop the creative and innovative potential of young minds. 

 

Luminous Klites emerged victorious in Interschool Online Competition - Studo.Sma

“Victory belongs to the most persevering!” 
Interschool Online Competition - Studo.Sma was organized by St. Mary's Academy in the month of January. The competition brought with itself an indomitable zeal and enthusiasm among the students of classes VI to XII of our School. Our promising students stood first in three events and added glory to the school's name. Adya Bhagat of class VI bagged the first prize in Interschool Dance competition by her mesmerizing performance. The editing skills of Hemant Gangal of class VIII won him the first position in the Video Editing category. The creative pens of Mohd. Hassan Sarosh and Swayam Raghav weaved magic through words and grabbed the first position in the writing competition. The School lauds the success of our students.

 

Klites efficaciously transcended in TUK-IAT (International Aptitude Test)

”Success is not determined by your attitude but rather by your aptitude”

Aptitude is an innate, learned or acquired ability of an individual to perform certain tasks. Aptitude tests help to round out a child’s profile which is useful in seeking academic and career guidance. 
To empower the students with this essential indicator, TUK-IAT (International Aptitude Test) was conducted online by The Ultimate Knowledge (TUK) for classes I to X.
Enthusiastic participation was displayed by K. L. International School as 1100 students participated in Preliminary Round of which 150 students scored maximum marks and 547 qualified for Main Round, who are further waiting for their performance status in the main round held on 10 January 2021. Zealous participation manifested from almost 2500 schools in India & 18 countries across the globe from all classes. Following the test, all the participants were given an analysed report, providing them with details on aptitude, personality assessment and career guidance. The School Management and Principal, Mr. Sudhanshu Shekhar bestowed their wishes on the winners for their future.

 

Proud Moment – A K. L. prodigy awarded with INSPIRE AWARD – MANAK 2020-21

Another inclusion in the success story of K. L. International School by a go-getter, Arnav Rastogi (Class VIII) who’s been selected for the prestigious INSPIRE AWARD – MANAK 2020-21. ‘Innovation in Science Pursuit for Inspired Research’ (INSPIRE) scheme is one of the flagship programmes of the Department of Science and Technology (DST) & National Innovation Foundation (NIF), Government of India. The INSPIRE AWARD – MANAK 2020-21 (Millions Minds Augmenting National Aspirations and Knowledge) aims to motivate students studying in classes VI - X.
On the virtual platform competing among numerous schools, our prodigy - Arnav Rastogi of class VIII dazzled the jury members with his ingenious and inventive ideas. He was appreciated and acknowledged by being awarded with a cash prize of Rs.10,000.

New Year Celebration - Elysian 2021

Year’s end is neither an end nor a beginning but a going on, with all the wisdom that experience can instill in us.

Soaking in the same spirit K. L. International School bid a befitting farewell to the year 2020 by organizing an online programme - Elysian 2021 where multitudinous activities like class parties, rhythmic dance sessions, puppet shows, magic show and fun activities like Charlie Chaplain enactments accelerated the spirit of festivity. The fun-filled celebrations concluded with special wishes and thanksgiving session.

The School Management Mr. Tejinder Khurana, Mr. Manmeet Khurana, Mr. Harneet Khurana and Principal, Mr. S. Shekhar addressed that the programme was very rejuvenating for all the students & faculty and welcomed the new year with the thought that the previous year is about to get over so let the dead past bury its negativity and let the New Year take its possession of the clock of time.
 

 

Little cherubs at their eloquent best in an English Recitation Competition in KG Wing

“Eloquence is a painting of the thoughts"
Oh! What is a beautiful way to express something through innocent words and action in a melody with all smiles and giggles. This is what our tiny scholars did with all confidence and made their Eloquence felt. Children presented a variety of interesting rhymes with good self introduction and actions where ever required. The competition was able to enhance their oratory skills well.

 

Klites Relished the Spirit of Christmas with Great Fervour

With the jingle of the bells resonating, the hum of the carols in the wind, the ‘ho-ho’ of Santa and gifts and glee everywhere-Christmas is an exciting affair, at K. L. International School, that brings a bagful of surprises for children.
The students presented an array of interesting activities. The school virtually echoed with Christmas carols and holy hymns sung melodiously by the students ushering in the festive season. 
KG Wing enjoyed the virtual Carnival ‘Winter Wonderland’. An online Tree Decoration Competition was organised for Little Klites wherein they participated with full zeal and gusto. They designed two symbolic Santas - Green Santa to depict the present state of pandemic and praying for the rescue and Red Santa depicting hope, joy and happiness. 
Class 1 and 2 organised a well-thought-out activity of ‘Best out of waste’. The little ones explained the significance of Christmas and the traditions associated with it. 
Classes 3 to 5 accelerated the spirit by organising a virtual Christmas Carnival – ‘Inspira’. Multitudinous activities were planned and executed beautifully. As working models, puppet shows, designing a TV channel on Incredible India, movie show on CORONA, magic show, weaving stories etc. They presented melodious rhymes and swayed to peppy dance numbers upholding the spirit of the celebration. They created a pole star with candles passing the happy message to all. Caught in the whirl of fun and excitement, the students at the Fun fiesta enjoyed the unlimited sprawl of exciting games and competition.
Classes 6 to 8 organised a Gift Tagging Activity which was enjoyed by all. The whole atmosphere was painted by Christmas decorations and thematic interiors. 

The School Management Mr. Tejinder Khurana, Mr. Manmeet Khurana, Mr. Harneet Khurana and Principal, Mr. S. Shekhar appreciated the efforts of all teachers and students to put up a grand show. They also wished students Merry Christmas and a delightful New Year full of new positive hopes and success.

The International English Olympiad (IEO) conducted by SOF, a test of competence and knowledge in the English Language, is held annually at the national and international levels based on syllabus prescribed by CBSE/ICSE and the State Boards. The test is tailored for school students to test their reading, listening, grammar and vocabulary skills using best-in-class technology, content and testing techniques.
Our young linguistic geniuses outlined in the second level of the olympiad, participated with great zeal and enthusiasm.

Mahuli Agrawal was accorded with a cash prize of Rs.1000, a Zonal bronze medal and a citation of Zonal Excellence and Kavya Agrawal was awarded with Zonal Excellence certificate.
School wished them good luck for future endeavours.
 

 

Another Feat Achieved at VVM at the District Level

VVM (Vidyarthi Vigyan Manthan), a competitive test to identify the scientific attitude of students was organised by the combined efforts of Vijnana Bharati, Vigyan Prasar and NCERT collaboration. Our students excelled in the online competition where Sparsh Rastogi (class XI) secured district rank I, Rudransh Sharma (class IX) scored II rank and Madhav Nagpal (class XI) secured III rank in the senior level.
Aanya Singh (class VI) ranked II and Satwik Sharma (class VII) stand proud at rank III at the junior level in the district.

National Mathematics Day Celebration 

“Mathematics may not teach us how to add love or how to subtract hate but it gives us hope that every problem has a solution.“

To commemorate the birthday of the Great Indian mathematical genius Shri Srinivasa Ramanujan, Mathematics Day is celebrated all over India. In our School too, this day was celebrated with great enthusiasm and zeal by the students of classes VI to VIII. The students paid their tribute to the great mathematician by virtually participating in an interesting game ‘Bingo’ organized by the Infinity club.

The activity planned for the day was informative, interesting and engaging. It was indeed a fun filled endeavor of the Infinity club to enhance the students’ interest in the subject.
 

 

Klites Exemplifies Creativity at NCO

“The desire to create is one of the deepest yearnings of the human soul”.

Klites have emerged with flying colours in the NCO-2020 (National Creativity Olympiad) held virtually. (NCO), a test of competence and creative instincts is held annually at the national and international levels based on syllabus prescribed by CBSE/ICSE and the State Boards.

Our erudite genius, Mahee (class VI) and Shivashish Chauhan (class VII) secured AIR III conferred a cash prize of Rs.7000 each. Other star performers Vaidehi Singh, Satwik Sharma, Himanshu Chaudhary and Ishan Tomar received a cash prize of Rs.1000 each.

 

Outstanding Performance at International Commerce Olympiad

The SOF an educational foundation and a non-profit organization organized an International Commerce Olympiad (ICO) in which sixty students of classes XI & XII of our School did us proud by winning numerous prizes. Arnav Agarwal bagged the II Rank Internationally and won 37,500/- as cash prize along with a silver medal and an Outstanding Performance Certificate. Paras Dua and Vyas Agarwal won the Zonal Excellency Certificate and Special Ability Certificate respectively. Four of our students won gold medals, 2 students won bronze medals and 2 bagged silver medals.

The School feels extremely elated on their achievement.

 

School Hosted Women Empowerment Programme "Mission Shakti"

“The empowered woman is powerful beyond measure and beautiful beyond description”
Our School hosted "Mission Shakti" a program on women empowerment organized by Hindustan newspaper to make people aware of women rights and their accomplishments. The program focused on education as a milestone of women empowerment because it enables them, to respond to challenges, to confront their traditional role and change their life. Chief guest Mr. Suryakant Dwivedi, editor Hindustan, speaking on the occasion appealed to the people to treat women equally in all spheres of life. Mrs. Neha Tyagi (Lady Welfare Officer), Mrs. Anubhuti Chauhan from Arunodaya Society, Dr. Manisha Teotia from the District Board Psychology Centre, Mrs. Divya Juneja and Dr. Pankaj Sharma graced the occasion. Representatives from "Betiyaan Foundation" demonstrated karate and urged that this could be very helpful for self-defence of girls and women. 
The School Management asserted that they will continue to support all such events. Principal, Mr. S. Shekhar on behalf of the school thanked the guest and reiterated that such a programme empowers, encourages and fosters a positive & inspirational message to the society. The event succeeded in evoking huge appreciation from the audience.

 

Virtual Psychology Quiz at Fortis Healthcare

One of the genius quizzers participated and excelled in Psychology Quiz organized virtually by Fortis Healthcare under the aegis of Dr. Samir Parikh, Director Deptt. of Mental Health and Behavioural Services. An Interschool Psychology Quiz Fest was organised with numerous schools participating from all over Delhi. Our prodigy Devna Pandey class XII not only participated but brought glory back by winning a citation and Rs.1000 cash prize. 
The programme included multiple rounds embracing the deep concepts of Psychology. Each round contained questions that were conceptual rather than based on rote learning. They included case studies, pictorial and audio-visual questions. These competitions exemplified the creativity and zeal of the participants.
The School Management and Principal, Mr. S. Shekhar congratulated the winner asserting that such events accelerate the learning and broaden horizons for students.

 

Inter House Manoeuver Competition  

“Movements are treatments for person’s physical, emotional and spiritual states.” 
Aerobics is a form of physical workout that combines rhythm and exercise with the goal of improving all elements of fitness. The School constantly plans activities which are focused on our students’ wellness both physical as well as mental. Keeping the same goal in mind an Inter House Manoeuver Competition was organized in III to V wing, where each house prepared a video of their aerobics performance. A panel of judges decided the winner based on beats, rhythm, expression, costume and choreography.

The first prize was bagged by Prakash House (Yellow), whereas the second prize was secured by Pragati House (Blue) followed by Prerna House (Red) at the third position. Students of all four houses dressed up in vibrant colourful dresses displayed their performances with great enthusiasm. Spontaneity and confidence were the hallmark of the competition.

 

English Handwriting Competition for Tiny Toddlers

“Handwriting is an imprint of the self on a page".
Handwriting is an essential skill for children. Practicing and writing is an incredibly important exercise for enabling them to develop fine motor skills and confidence. It activates the brain and contributes to reading fluency. 
Good hand writing is important as in modern world, in all works of life, people are judged by their handwriting. In order to improve upon this important skill, an English handwriting competition was held on 21 November 2020. Students participated in it with a lot of excitement and passion. 
Thanks to all parents for their active involvement in helping their child and get prepared for the competition.

 

Inter House Spell Bee Competition

In the time and age of auto correct, predictive text and the spell check, an Inter House Spell Bee Competition for grade III to V students came as a whiff of fresh breeze.
The online Inter House Spell Bee Competition was organised for the students of classes III to V wing on 22 November 2020. The event comprised of four rounds viz. Spell speedily, Generating words, Adjective antakshari and Tickle your brain. Students participated with great enthusiasm and duelled through the toughest words to prove their mettle. Even the toughest words of the final round were spelt with unflinching ease by the spelling wizards. 
Finally Pragati House (Blue) students buzzed away to success and were declared the winners. Prakash House (Yellow) secured the second place and the third place was won by the Prerna House (Red). It was indeed a wonderful learning experience for both the participants as well as peers.

 

Klites Showed Talent in Vyas Samaroh - Sanskrit Debate Competition  

“Sanskrit literature is national in one sense, but its purpose has been universal.”
At the time when virtual reality became the new normal, the young enthusiasts of K. L. International School were proving their mettle by winning laurels for the School by participating in the Sanskrit Debate Competition at Vyas Samaroh conducted by CCS University on 18 November 2020.
Abhinav Banerjee of class IX won II position in the avidly contested event and the participation of Shivansh Goel was extraordinary and appreciated by all.

Constitution Day celebrated virtually

To reinforce the significance and importance of constitution, class VIII virtually celebrated ‘The Constitution Day’ participating with full zeal and gusto by executing a well-thought activity of E-poster making signifying the importance of the constitution and the relevance of being a Sovereign, Socialist, Secular, Democratic and Republic country. To instill patriotism and to spread awareness students designed E-posters beautifully, where they reflect their thoughts on the principle of the Preamble.
 

 

Virtual Diwali Celebration

“From darkness to the light that empowers us to commit ourselves to good deeds and brings us closer to divinity”
Diwali epitomizes the victory of good over evil. The exhilaration and celebratory spirit that Diwali brings is paramount for every Indian. To add to the festive fervour, the kindergarten presented a beautiful rendition of Ramayana and enjoyed a fun party. To further add to the festive spirit, classes 3 to 5 organized myriad of competitions which were executed beautifully like Diya Decoration, showcasing their creativity with making of Bandhanwars and Lantern Making, classes 6 to 8 presented a video depicting the essence of good over evil. Students were told about the significance of the festival in this crucial time. The Do’s and Don'ts of Diwali were also shared amidst this unprecedented time of COVID-19. Students of classes 9 to 12 showered the wishes virtually and spread a message to celebrate an eco-friendly Diwali. The entire School was adorned with the wishes and Diwali delicacies to enjoy a pre-Diwali blast with their classmates in an online session. The enthusiasm and happiness of the students knew no bounds as they had a wonderful time enjoying the exuberance of the festival.

The School Management and Principal wished everyone and emphasized on the importance of observing the festival in its true spirit and urged students to be sensitive to the environment by celebrating a clean and cracker free Diwali.

 

Children’s Day celebration, fun and happiness galore!

A day marking childhood was celebrated with fun and frolic in all the wings of our School through an array of virtual activities and celebrations. To commemorate the birth anniversary of Pt. Jawaharlal Nehru, independent India's first Prime Minister and to celebrate the spirit of childhood teachers of the School expressed their love and affection for the students through recorded videos and messages. Teachers stepped into the shoes of our students and conducted the entire assembly virtually right from saying the thought of the day, prayer, reading news. KG wing faculty members sent ‘Miss you messages’ to students followed by virtual tour of the School. An online party packed with music, dance and jokes was also organized. I&II wing sent online department wise messages throughout a week. III-V, VI-VIII & IX-XII wings also organized a variety of virtual programmes for the students. Through an online message Principal Sir blessed the students and exhorted them to dream big, work hard and follow the path of honesty, peace and harmony.

 

Commerce Students marked victory at Bizgeist 2020

The commerce enthusiasts of the School participated in Bizgeist 2020, an Inter School Commerce Fest from 5 November to 10 November 2020. The fest was organized by the Cambridge School, Indirapuram comprising multiple intriguing events for commerce students. Our students emerged out with flying colors soaring the School's name even higher. Our student Disha Arora left all her competitors behind and bagged the First position in Surprise Event. Ananya Tyagi won the First prize in Publicite (Ad making) competition followed by Amogh Kaistha and Aditya Pathania on the Second position in the event. In IPL Auction 2020 segment, Karan Narula and Paarth Sareen grabbed the second position. In another challenging event: Rebranding, Paras Dua, Nirali Gupta and Arushi Narula’s team efforts won them the second position. Our commerce students with their high spirited performance and great teamwork did us proud. The School lauds their success and congratulates them for the good work.

 

National Education Day

In order to commemorate the birth anniversary of Maulana Abul Kalam Azad, the first Education Minister of independent India, National Education Day is observed throughout the country on 11 November. Our School organized a creative Shloka Writing Activity on the Importance of Education. To pay homage to this great soul for his indelible imprints in the field of education, a special assembly was conducted online.

 

Another Winning Spree for KLites at Vividhanjali 

Super talented KLites registered another grand victory at a mega online event Vividhanjali, a spectrum of events-2020 organized by DPS Meerut. Our children participated with full zeal and zest in this creative and artistic event held on November 6, 2020 and left a mark in 5 events out of 13. Competing with 750 participants from around 40 Schools in and around Meerut, we won the first prize in three categories. Sohan Saha of class II stood first in Poster Baby (Fancy Dress) competition. Shivashish Chauhan of VI to VIII wing won the first prize in Stand up Science event and Ananya Tyagi from IX to XII wing also brought laurels to School by winning the first position in Shlokavratti.

Inter House Declamation Contest 

Our School fondly remembers Nobel laureate Sir C. V. Raman on his birth anniversary by organizing an Inter House Declamation Contest in VI to VIII wing on the theme Indian Science Nobel Prize Winners for its zealous students. Students from all the four houses participated in the contest with a deep sense of gratitude towards Sir Raman acknowledging his precious contribution to Science. Students dressed up as Sir C. V. Raman, Ronald Ross, Venkataraman Ramakrishnan and Shri Hargobind Khorana was the highlight of the event. The Prayas house (Green) lifted the winner’s trophy, the Prakash house (Yellow) and Pragati house (Blue) shared the second position and the Prerna house (Red) stood third.

 

Prodigy Club Hosts Inter House Sports Mettle Quiz

An Inter House Sports Mettle Quiz was organized by the Prodigy Club of the middle section (classes VI to VIII). Students of class VI participated in the quiz on the theme of cricket whereas the students of classes VII and VIII battled on the topic football and hockey respectively. Overall the House Trophy was lifted by Prerna house (Red), Prayas house (Green) and Pragati house (Blue) stood on second and third positions respectively.

 

A tribute to the ‘Iron Man of India’ on his Birth Anniversary!

On the occasion of Rashtriya Ekta Diwas, the birth anniversary of one of the most appreciated leader Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, our students participated in various class wise activities to express their love and gratitude towards the leader who strived to unify our country. The highlights of the celebration were a virtual quiz and exchange program among our state and our partner states viz. Meghalaya and Arunachal Pradesh. Very informative PowerPoint presentations were exchanged with the three states. Students also made pencil sketches of the great Sardar Patel. School greeted all the students on this great occasion by sending them an inspiring video on the life and philosophy of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel.

It is indeed a matter of great pride and honour for us as one of our virtuoso Avani Singh of class 11, an amateur writer whose book “Calling Shani” has got published and is available on Amazon while attracting phenomenal response. The book is about true friends, their journey for revenge and their struggle for justice. She added this achievement in her own records to the previous book that was ‘Existence: They do exist’ which has been hugely appreciated and is readily available on Amazon. School Management and Principal congratulated Avani and praised her work.

 

Dussehra Celebration by Klites

Celebrating festivals is a great way to inculcate values in young minds and teach them about our rich cultural heritage. Kindergarten celebrated the festival of Dussehra online with great pomp and show. The teachers explained the significance of the festival and about the victory of good over evil in their synchronous sessions by narrating the Ramayana using puppets and props. 
On the activity day, students were shown modules and animated movies related to Lord Rama. Classes I and II enthusiastically participated in Mask Making Activity to spread a strong message that celebrations should go on not with standing the precautions at bay.
A beautiful recital of the poem on Dussehra mounted the festive mood; students showcased their creativity by participating with full ardour in Paper Ravana Making Activity.
The day was well spent as the students shared their work with their teachers and were significantly applauded.

 

Virtual PTM 

As K. L. International School held its online PTM, the school was delighted to witness the synergy between parents and teachers making it a success. Online PTM has helped teachers and parents connect virtually to engage in open discussion for the student’s better future. The parents were apprised of the performance of their ward in the class as the result of UT 1 for Kindergarten and Half Yearly result for I to VIII was discussed. The online PTM is a great way for the school and the parents to effectively collaborate and work together to help children perform better in academics and in extra-curricular activities too.
The PTM was concluded with positive feedback from the parents on the efforts put forth by the school.

 

Manish Kumar Excels in NEET (UG) - 2020

We take immense pride in sharing the stupendous success of our meritorious student, Manish Kumar of XII Science stream (session 2019-2020). Remembering Dr. A.P.J Abdul Kalam

In the loving memory of the Missile Man of the Nation, Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam, students presented the token of their gratitude by showcasing the thoughts and works of Dr. Abdul Kalam through umpteen activities.
They presented a glimpse of the life and achievements of the man who was humble and inspired each citizen to ignite his mind, develop wings of fire and transform their dreams into action.
Little scientist activity was beautifully designed and executed by the munchkins of Kindergarten. Students of III-V wing made true to life models of missiles and rockets in the loving memory of Missile Man of India and spoke about his inspirational life in the virtual assembly.
Scientific Rangoli competition expedited the hidden creative instincts of our Young scientists. Winners were accorded with E-certificates. Senior wing paid their tribute in the form of a short yet inspiring video.
Principal, Mr. Sudhanshu Shekhar urged and motivated everyone to become responsible citizens and follow the path laid by the true leader Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam : “work only for the best”.

 

Global Hand Washing Day 2020 - an advocacy for health and hygiene

The students of our school celebrated the ‘Global Hand washing Day’ to raise global awareness on the importance of hand-washing with soap. All our students were reminded that hand-washing is the simplest way to prevent the spread of any virus and it also ensures better health. The students of Kindergarten performed an online hand wash activity wherein they learned the correct way of washing hands through an interesting song. Students vowed to always take care of their hygiene. Students of I-II Wing made expressive posters for the same. The III-V wing too, contributed to this day’s celebration through a virtual special assembly and also by making informative videos on the importance and need of a proper ‘Hand wash’ with soap. Special videos were posted by teachers to spread awareness amongst students of classes VI to VIII.

 

Pledge Administered for COVID-19 Appropriate Behaviour

As a part of public awareness nationwide campaign initiated by PM Modi’s ‘Jan Andolan’ to stall the spread of COVID-19, the school administered the pledge of COVID-19 appropriate behaviour. Students and staff virtually modelled the kinship in their fight to defeat the pandemic. The entire staff and students pledged to earnestly follow the relevant health and hygiene norms like wearing masks, washing hands, sanitising and social distancing for the universal good of community and family.

 

World Post Day

The ever curious and enthusiastic students of Kindergarten and 3 to 5 wing celebrated the ‘World Post day’ with great zest and zeal through various online activities. The KG cherubs were made aware of the importance of postal services in our life. They were also shown pictures of post office, post box, postcards, stamps etc. to make information more relatable. The students of 3 to 5 wing celebrated this day through a special assembly. Speech delivery, poetry recitation and poster making activity were major highlights. The involvement of each and every student made this day a memorable one.

Tribute to Mahatma Gandhi & Shastri Ji on their birth anniversary

In a poignant homage to the Father of the Nation, Mahatma Gandhi, on the occasion of his 151st Birth Anniversary along with the Birth Anniversary of our second Prime Minister Shri Lal Bahadur Shastri, KLItes across KG & primary grades put paint brush to canvas and reiterated their commitment to the ideals espoused by these great leaders.
An array of activities embossed with tribute and respect for both the forefront leaders was portrayed beautifully by young KLItes.
Students of KG wing were made aware of the facts and accomplishments associated with Gandhi ji. They also made beautiful caricatures of spinning wheel, spectacles and Gandhi ji’s bonnet. Students of classes I to V made spray paintings and spread the message of cleanliness. They fabricated the maxims of Gandhi ji beautifully highlighting three monkeys of wisdom. Students of classes VI to X emphasised on the significance of the role Gandhi ji played in the independence of our country, his virtues and values of truthfulness, non-violence and cleanliness through the documentaries. They too spoke about the inspirational life of Shastri ji and urged everyone to imbibe their values for a successful life.

Kindergarten Celebrated World Smile Day

Smiles are a chain reaction
World Smile Day is celebrated on the first Friday of October every year. The idea was coined by Mr. Harvey Ross Ball, an American commercial artist who created a Smiley Face in 1963 to spread simple joy & love to everyone. 
KG Wing of K. L. International School virtually celebrated 'World Smile Day’ on 2 October 2020. Children were encouraged to make a smiley of their own and bring a smile on the faces of others, in which the students showed full enthusiasm, they shared their pictures with the smiley they created. Overall a happy day well spent!

 

International Day of Older Persons

The exuberant children of our KG Wing celebrated the ‘International Day of Older Persons’ with great zeal as they, along with their elderly grandparents enjoyed the activity of ‘Cooking Without Fire’. It was indeed a fun filled learning experience for our tiny cherubs and also a great way to express their gratitude towards their grandparents.

 

99.79 Percentile in JEE Main 2020 Paper–II (B. Arch.)

The school congratulates Saara Chauhan of class XII on achieving an All India Rank 333 with a percentile of 99.79 in JEE Main 2020 Paper –II (B.Arch.). She has indeed added to the galore of achievements with her impressive performance. Kudos to her persistent toil and tremendous hardwork!

Virtual celebration on Hindi Diwas

Hindi Diwas was celebrated virtually with full zeal and fervour on 14 September 2020 to pay tribute to the Official language of India. Students celebrated Hindi week to mark the importance of the country's most widely spoken language.
Umpteen activities were planned by both the wings: Primary wing organized Story Weaving, Handwriting Competition and Poem Recitation which was appreciated by all and for the senior wing an online discussion forum was organized to discuss the importance of Hindi, Recital of poems written by famous poets, Poster Making and Slogan Writing which spoke volumes about their knowledge and calibre. They took part in the event wholeheartedly and highlighted the significance of the language beautifully.
Principal Mr. Sudhanshu Shekhar congratulated everyone and addressed that language and culture of any country play an important role in making people connect & help in making a strong nation. Thus, the celebration concluded on an encouraging note

 

Observance of Nutrition Week

“Yatha Annam Tatha Mannum”
It is rightly said that our mental and intellectual development is directly related to the quality of our food intake. While the entire nation is all set to observe ‘Poshan Maah’, we at K.L.International School celebrated a ‘Nutrition Week’ in our KG wing to ‘Eat Right, Bite by Bite’. Taking care of a balanced diet and inculcating healthy eating habits amongst our new generation was the key idea behind the whole exercise. The school thanked all the parents who actively participated and made beautiful nutritional platters for their kids. The students of VI-VIII wing also celebrated this week by participating in an Interclass Quiz competition Eat Right Future Bright organised by the Friends of Earth, Eco club of the school.

 

Online Classes on Microsoft

To keep face the changing times, our school has collaborated with Microsoft for providing better teaching–learning environment for our students. This platform will ensure better online teaching with high quality cameras that will track students’ activity as well as attendance. Our teachers are going to be trained to optimize the utilization of this resource for the maximum benefits of our students. The Microsoft will also facilitate our teachers to control the teaching time as now longer duration classes can be conducted. 
Indeed, we are all set to change the face of our online teaching.

 

Virtual Teacher’s Day Celebration

It is the supreme art of the teacher to awaken joy in creative expression and knowledge.
To highlight the same in such an unprecedented time of pandemic, the students of K. L. International School organized a special virtual celebration on 5th September 2020 to pay tribute to their teachers and to celebrate the birth anniversary of Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan. 
To show love for their teachers, KG wing students made beautiful placards, Grade 1 to 8 presented a cultural treat including some energetic dances, evocative songs and gratifying poems and laughter parody. The senior wing expedited the juncture by touching the strings of emotion with shloka recital, band presentation, play, some stellar dance performances and thanks giving speech.
School Principal and teachers appreciated the efforts of the students and shared a digital card with them thanking for their hard work, feelings and devotion.

 

INTERHOUSE SHAKESPEAREAN MONOLOGUE COMPETITION

An Inter House Shakespearean Monologue Competition for classes IX and X was organized virtually on 25 August 2020, giving the students a platform to exhibit their agility, artistic ability and creativity.
The event witnessed promising flair and some exceptional interpretation of Shakespeare’s monologues by the four houses, be it Lady Macbeth or Twelfth night. The prominent monologues from the drama were performed by the students with finesse.

III position Pragati house
School congratulated the winners and appreciated all the participants for their zeal and passion.

 

Investiture Ceremony

Leadership is the capacity to translate vision into reality, with this thought the Investiture ceremony 2020-21was held virtually to signify the belief and poise, the school consigns in the newly invested office bearers. After meticulous discussions and virtual interactive sessions,the apex body for the session was elected. The newly appointed council members were adorned with sashes and badges by their parents at home on the juncture. Apex Body Senior wing : Head boy – Subit Shekhar, Head Girl – Ishita Singh Faujdar, Vice Head Boy – Sparsh Rastogi and Vice Head Girl – Avani Singh & apex body Junior wing : Head boy – Atharv Mahajan, Head Girl – Priyanshi Vatsa, Vice Head Boy – Ansh and Vice Head Girl – Alankrita Chaudhary took an oath to bestow their duties to the best of their abilities and pledged to hold the school motto in high esteem.
School Management &Principal virtually administered the oath to the council members. They further urged them to be role models and make sincere efforts to ensure the great culture in school as well as upholding the school values in true spirit.

 

Falit Sijariya emerges as District Topper in CBSE Class XII examination

Determination and confidence lead to great heights such a thought fits well with K. L. International School’s student Falit Sijariya who endured the process of CBSE Re-evaluation and scored 99.2% marks. Thus, secured the District Topper’s rank as well as AIR IV leading to reverberations of ecstasy and pride.
We are immensely proud of our both the district toppers: Falit Sijariya (Class XII) and Divye Bansal (Class X)

Commendation Ceremony

In a solemn yet spirited ceremony, K. L. International School held its “Commendation ceremony” in the distinguished presence of Vice Chairman Mr. Tejinder Khurana, Principal Mr. Sudhanshu Shekhar and other prominent dignitaries of the School Management. The event was organized to acknowledge and appreciate the hard work, dedication and enthusiasm of the students excelled in the C.B.S.E Board examination 2019-20 for grade X and XII. School applauded the efforts put forth by the students and teachers for making the event the most anticipated one.

Divye Bansal class X who secured AIR III and is the District Topper was awarded a cash prize of `51000/- for securing 99.4% marks. Falit Sijariya (Humanities) class XII who bagged AIR IV and the District Topper was awarded a cash prize of `51000/- for securing 99.2% marks. Rajat Agarwal the Science Topper, Mahak Kansal & Rohit Gupta the Commerce Toppers were awarded a cash prizes of `21000/- respectively. Cash prize of `11000/-and `5100/- were conferred upon the students who secured II and III position respectively in class XII and X.

A Counseling Session for Students & Parents

Understanding the need of the mental health, a counseling session was organized by the school during this time of crisis. Dealing with the pandemic COVID-19 is actually going very tough with everybody especially school going children. They are missing their teachers and class mates and are also under a lot of stress due to complete change in education pattern. The school counsellor had sessions with students & parents and shared the dos and don’ts of this situation. She also motivated students to hone their hobbies and keep themselves involved in creative activities.

 

A tribute to our Senior Citizens

World Senior Citizens Day was celebrated with much enthusiasm and zest by our students. This day provided us an opportunity to show our appreciation for their dedication, accomplishments and services that they have been giving so far. Our students spent a day with their grandparents or elderly neighbours to mark this occasion. They also posted pictures and selfies on social media.

 

Fun crafting ideas!

In order to enhance and exploit the inherent potential of our students we keep them engaged in artistic activities off and on. This time we channelized the energies of our VI-VIII wing students by making them design and create a mobile stand which would help them remain hands free during online classes & work completion. This activity proved very fruitful as it also developed a problem-solving attitude in them.

 

INDEPENDENCE DAY

KLI celebrated the 74th Independence Day to pay tribute to all the martyrs and remember the glory of the day with great pride. In a solemn yet spirited manner, an ecstasy of patriotism filled the air, the moment the tricolour flag was hoisted by the Principal Mr. Sudhanshu Shekhar.
School Principal addressed the minuscule gathering with his motivational words. Teachers made the students sing the national anthem in their online classes.

 


Inter School Online Dance Competition by Dainik Jagran.

Competing with 11 other prestigious schools of the district, Aarushi Narula of class XI Commerce brought laurels to the school by winning II position in the competition. The competition was organized by Dainik Jagran on the theme of ‘Independence Day’. All winners were provided with e-certificates. Aarushi’s mesmerizing performance was lauded by one and all.

 

Janmashtami Celebration

Keeping the spirits of festivity alive, school celebrated the birth of Lord Krishna with full devotion and enthusiasm. Janmashtami celebrations were held online where the teachers enlightened the students with the human incarnation of Lord Vishnu and guided them to make beautiful matkis.

The students enjoyed the fun-filled day of activities. It was truly an enjoyable day filled with joy and devotion.

 


Online Yoga Camp

Yoga i.e. union or yoke is the practice of accessing and integrating all aspects of our body, mind and spirit in pursuit of inner harmony!
By practising yoga poses, children can learn how to exercise, develop confidence and concentrate better. Keeping this in mind, our school organised an online yoga camp for both mother & child where they performed various asanas together not only boosting their immune system with pranayama and other exercises but also benefitting with improved concentration, discipline & calmness.
The camp was indeed a fruitful step towards overall wellbeing of our students and their mothers.

 

ONLINE PTM

First virtual PTM 2020-2021 was held for the entire school. It was planned to discuss the result (UT-I) of the students with their parents. It was highly gratifying to see the parents’ zeal and participation.
Parents rationally discussed about the academic performance and areas of concern of the students. It was a very interactive session and came out as a fascinating and riveting experience for the teachers as well as the parents .Parent fraternity acknowledged and appreciated the efforts of the school and the teachers put in the virtual teaching learning process. The PTM was conducive and fruitful. Parents applauded the initiative of the school with their valuable and benignant feedback.

 

Sanskrit Diwas

To apprise the learners about the world’s oldest language, its beauty & relation to our culture, the day of Shravan Purnima is dedicated for Sanskrit language. We at KLI School celebrated ‘Sanskrit Diwas’ with a series of online activities performed by our students. The activities commenced with Ganesh Vandana followed by students telling the importance of the language. They also described complex geometrical figures and construction in Sanskrit. Some students spread awareness about the ancient ayurvedic medicines which are still effective in Covid – 19 situation. The activities cherished the value of Sanskrit language renewing its essence in today’s context.

 

Raksha Bandhan Celebration

Raksha Bandhan is a special occasion to celebrate the virtuous bond of love between brothers and sisters. To commemorate the true spirit of this bond of love and care, an array of activities were planned by different wings of our school. The KG students with the help of their parents merrily participated in Rakhi making activity and made beautiful eco friendly rakhis with organic things at home. The students of III to V wing enthusiastically indulged in making photo frames to display their sibling’s photographs. They also honed their communication skills by trying their hand on writing poetry on their brother or sister. The creative geniuses of VI to VIII wing added another dimension by making a ‘photo rakhi’ for their loved ones. Students  of classes I & II are no less, they celebrated this occasion by making mobile stands as a return gift for their sisters. Amidst pandemic, these activities planned by school tickled their creativity and was greatly enjoyed by all.

 

Poetry is the rhythmical creation of beauty in words.

Poetry is fun, relatable, and delightful & can open up new ways of understanding and explaining emotions and thoughts. Our KG wing has provided our tiny tots with an opportunity to articulate through the online poetry recitation activity-Kavita Ke Naye Pratiman. Our little cherubs performed to the best of their capabilities enjoying the rhyme and rhythm of the poetry they recited.

 


International Tiger Day

In order to raise awareness about tiger conservation, the International Tiger Day virtual celebration was held on the 29th of July. Teachers shared essential information regarding the protection of the natural habitats of tigers and to raise public awareness and support for tiger conservation. Students donned the self-made masks and pledged to save tigers.

 

GORGEOUS GRANDMA DAY

Grandparents make the world- a little softer, a little kinder, a little warmer…
In order to express gratitude towards their grandmothers, our students made beautiful greeting cards and planned surprises for them on the occasion of National Gorgeous Grandma Day. Students also changed pictures of their status on social media and displayed the pictures depicting their bond with their Grand mom. The gesture was to celebrate the incredible contributions made by the Grand mom in our life.

 

WORLD EMOJI DAY

The desire to create is one of the deepest yearnings of the human soul. The students of our school enjoyed creating new Emojis on the occasion of World Emoji Day. Principal and teachers appreciated our creative geniuses and encouraged their desire to keep on doing new things.

 

International Paper Bag Day

To induce the sense of responsibility towards Mother Nature, K. L. International School organized A Paper Bag Making Activity virtually to mark the celebration of International Paper Bag Day. The activity was devised to instil thoughts of saving nature and to enhance the concealed creativity. Students made beautiful paper bags with motivational quotes pasted on it.
Sundry shapes and sizes of the bags proved the activity highly stimulating. Smiles and enthusiasm of the klites made the day fruitful. By and large students showcased their creativity and artistic skills by making and decorating the bags vibrantly.

 

Cheer up a Lonely Day

Let’s be honest: dealing with the pandemic and learning to live life in a new way with all these limitations is indeed stressful! But we KLites have always found a way to beat the blues. Our primary wing participated zealously in ‘Cheer up a Lonely Day’ activity conducted by the school wherein students while staying home did something different. Instead of following their regular routine they planned surprises for their parents. They decorated various places & corners of their homes, planned fun games, helped parents and grandparents in their chores and tried to connect with all their loved ones strengthening their bonds. Children have also shared their photographs with school doing the activity. The activity unleashed their creative side.

 

All outstanding work in SCIENCE as well as ART results from immense zeal applied to a great idea.

Once again our zealous students have brought laurels to school as they won prestigious ranks at an event ‘Masti Se Mastishk Tak’ (Lockdown Activity - I) organised by Vidyarthi Vigyan Manthan (VVM) -a joint venture of VijnanaBharti(VIBHA), Vigyan Prasar, Department of Science and Technology, Govt. of India, National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT), and Ministry of Human Resource Development, Govt. of India. The school sways with pride as our participants not only proved their mettle but also displayed sheer passion and dedication towards the subject as they won certificates of merit for securing various ranks in the Science based Experiment / Demonstration video making activity held between 07 May and 17 May 2020. Kudos to Suryanshi Chauhan (Class XI) along with Vardaan Gahlot & Riddhima Kela (Class IX) who have secured I rank at the national level and did us proud. We also appreciate and applaud the efforts of Vanshika Chaurasia (Class IX) for winning the II rank followed by Khyati Sharma (Class X) at III rank. The continuous dedicated efforts of these young minds have been fruiting and made them national toppers. 
We are highly elated as the juniors are also following the footsteps of their seniors and toiling hard to follow suit. School appreciates Milan Gambhir, Anagh Kaushik (Class VII) with Subh Kumar Rai and Arya Malik (Class VIII) and Aryan Gupta, Vinayak Tandon and Mayank Ray (Class IX) for winning special appreciations.

 

The art of self realization is the best meditation

To articulate the bond of family and fitness, K.L. International students celebrated Father’s Day and International Yoga Day virtually with full positivity and added spirituality.
To show signs of love and gratitude for their father, festooned cards were made with messages on it evoking the emotions, family DP’s on mobile added to the feeling of oneness. These activities brought smiles on the faces of the beloved fathers. 
Moreover, to stimulate peace and harmony on INTERNATIONAL YOGA DAY, young enthusiasts presented a transcendental fusion of music, yoga asanas with their father that added to the spirituality.
School Management and Principal asserted that yoga boosts immunity and in this time wished that peace and harmony should prevail for all mankind.

 

It is in our character to participate, to learn and to win! 

Fifty eight ingenious students of our school participated in an online a series of Inter School Event i.e. Confluence 2020. All 14 categories of the competition saw spirited contribution of our gleaming Klites. We won a tally of 29 prizes. In the ‘Su-chef’ - the cooking competition, Aadhya Vashistha of class IX won the First prize by making finger licking snack-Crispy Salsa Bites. Anisha Gupta of class VIII won the consolation prize in ‘My Bakery Venture’. In the ‘Singing Idol’ category both in junior as well as senior category our talented singers Harleen Kaur of class VIII & Aman Tyagi of class XII have bagged the Second prize for the school. Our dancing divas Adya Bhagat of class VI and Aarushi Narula of class XI seized the First prize in their respective category displaying their inherent talent in dance with ease. Our super reporter Shakti Sidhu of class IX won us Second prize in ‘News Reading & Reporting on Television’ followed by Tarush Agarwal of class XI by winning consolation prize in the same category. In ‘Radio Parley’ we grabbed consolation prizes which were bagged by Shivashish Bajaj & Sanskriti Moga of class VII along with Swastik Dwivedi of class X from senior team. ‘Ramp Walk’ idolize your favourite leader was rightly claimed by Anushka Verma & Ishita Singh Faujdar of Class XII jointly at First prize in the senior category. Krishna Bhatia of class VIII won second prize in ‘Angels of Caritas’. Similarly in ‘Corona through a child’s eye’ event, Saksham Tyagi of class XI, Dewank Rastogi of class XII, Shail Teotia of class XII and Abhinav Verma of class XII claimed second position making us proud. Krishna Singh of class VIII and Adya Bhagat of class VI got consolation prizes in ‘Poster & Collage Making’ and ‘Comedy & Mimicry’ sections respectively. In the ‘Burn to Win' Competition, Anaya Tyagi of class IV did us proud by winning First prize followed by Arnav Narula of class VI and Akshita Bhatia of class XI who bagged the consolation prizes. In ‘Mother's a Walking Miracle’ event, Shaurya Singh of class VII and Hemant Gangal of class VIII lifted the First prize. The second prize was won by Ayansh Chaudhary of class X & Tanish Agarwal of class XI. Again we lifted the First prize in ‘Martyrs: The Immortal Souls’ by fabulous performance by Vikrant Kumar of class VIII. Last but not the least, Ananya Sharma of class X and Gati Singh of class VIII did us proud by winning Second prize and consolation prize respectively in "Story Telling through short videos’ section. 
The school congratulates all the winners for their laudable achievement and encourages them to continue with this winning spirit in future also.

The month of June unfurled with a proud and a glorious moment filling the air of happiness in K.L. International School as our enthusiastic and zealous young scientists performed exceptionally well in KAMP – NATIONAL ASSESSMENT FOR SCIENTIFIC TEMPERAMENT AND APTITUDE (NASTA-2019)
Aanya Singh immaculately achieved the state topper’s position with A+ GRADE  and ornamented with critical thinker award whereas Mohak Nagpal, Anshuman Soam , Ram Kaushal, Shivashish Chauhan and Medhansh Teotia grabbed the district toppers’ position with A GRADE and a special mentioning of excellence.

Creativity is the natural extension of enthusiasm

To encourage, nurture and unveil every child’s natural creative flair, hands on activities were planned by K. L. International School on the special day of National Creativity Day .

The young klites explored their imagination and showcased their creativity with wonderful activities. With the little hands in action, Pre-primary students skillfully made masks, best craft pieces out of waste that complimented their creation , rest of the school added to the fair with bountiful activities like doodle art, inspirational  video making, savory cooking skills , exquisite origami art , aesthetic calligraphy, tuning with music and dance adds up  to the merriment .
The day accelerated the talent and skill set of the students. School Management and Principal appreciated the efforts of the students and urged to keep this spirit alive.

 

Art is an unspoken language that depicts everything through a stroke of brush and colours.

Little cherub Miss. Aadhya Goswami of I-E showcased her immense talent and bagged the First prize in an International Online Drawing Competition organised by Fine Arts Department of NAS College in collaboration with CCS University, Meerut wherein students from many countries participated. It is indeed a very momentous and proud moment for both school and parents that Aadhya’s drawing was judged as the best and was bestowed the first position.

The school congratulates our little artist Aadhya and wishes her a lot of success in her future endeavours.

 

KEEP MOVING, NO MATTER WHAT PACE, JUST KEEP MOVING, AN ESSENTIAL LESSON LEARNT FROM A TURTLE

Amidst lockdown, creativity of K. L International School knows no boundaries. Carrying forward the tradition of achieving excellence, the talented klites proved their mettle yet again by participating and winning in the poster making and video making competition conducted by Ray of Science, Science club, Gonda (VPUP0035)Vipnet Vigyan Prasar on the occasion of WORLD TURTLE DAY.
The students displayed extraordinary temperament of showcasing their exceptional creative instincts by presenting master pieces depicting SAVE TURTLE and other important aqua life.
Milan Gambhir, Shreyansh Rastogi, Shivang Tandon for poster making and Surayanshi Chauhan for video making were facilitated with certificates and science books.

The School Management and Principal appreciated the ineffaceable efforts of the students, congratulated them and wished that this winning streak continues.

To foster the bond of love and perceive the importance of family in one’s life, International Family Day was celebrated by the zealous students of K. L. International School. Teachers helped the students to make the occasion vivacious amid this pandemic. Fruitful activities were premeditated where family tree, creative hands on collage making, heartrending videos, delicious food, prop parties, showering of sentiments in messages rekindled the entire wave of emotions.
The day ended with rejoicing memories and some bonded values to be cherished evermore.

To celebrate Mother’s Day, K. L. International teachers helped the students by organizing an interactive, fun-filled session for to make the day lively amid this lockdown situation.
To show signs of love and compassion for their mothers, umpteen activities were planned like songs and poems, family clicks, treat parties, embellished crowns, emotional messages on beautiful cards, sweet dishes, videos of their learning bestowed upon them by their mothers that escalate the bond of sentiments. These activities brought smiles on the faces of the beloved mothers.
Students expressed their deepest gratitude to their moms for their unconditional love and care. It was a memorable day of cheerfulness and emotions filled with fun.

Laughing is a Healthy Competition

The young KLITES of the school laughed their way to merriment as they celebrated World Laughter Day on 3 May 2020.
This day is celebrated worldwide to generate the positive and joyful emotions of laughter, which can help remove negativity and spread cheer, peace and happiness.
Students celebrated the day virtually with copious activities like laughter yoga sessions and pictorial presentations which focused on the shelving of negative feelings and remain hopeful and happy.
The School Management and Principal encouraged the students to spread happiness and positivity. The day was well spent which brought smiles on the faces of young onlookers.

“Labour Day”

K. L. International School celebrates Labour Day (1 May 2020) as Gratitude Day by expressing gratefulness to its lifeline-the supporting staff. In this toughest of the times, the school remembers and acknowledges the painstaking effort of the labour force that works tirelessly for the institution.
School planned a digital thanksgiving where ample of activities like videos and posters were made and shared to pay gratitude to these warriors.
The activity was enjoyed by the students and they spoke their heart out to pay respect to these unsung combatants. Overall it was an enthusiastic day!

“Dance is a conversation between body and soul”

To celebrate and mark the significance of International Dance Day, Dainik Jagran organized an online classical dance competition where several reputed schools of Meerut participated on 28 April 2020. Aarushi Narula of K. L. International School competed and rapt the jury members with her grace & exceptional expressions and bagged the desirable 1st position.
The School Management and Principal congratulated her for this momentous achievement!

Winning streak continues…

K. L. INTERNATIONAL School believes in transcending the challenges posed by the pandemic and lockdown for the continuum of achievements.
It is again proved right by Anushka Verma of class 12 who participated in the I.I.M.U.N. Digital Conference 5.0 held on 25 & 26 April 2020 among 400 participants across the world as delegate Brazil in the committee UNW. Among various simulations as Loksabha , UNW, IPL, Niti Aayog and many more she outshone everyone and won the BEST DELEGATE prize with priceless appreciation showered by Guest speakers Dr. Shashi Tharoor and Rajdeep Sardesai.

DIGITAL OBSERVANCE OF EARTH DAY

A tree in a forest is where it should stay, leave it alone, and let it grow all day!
Giving voice to the environment and marking the 50th anniversary of the Earth day, K. L. International School initiated a myriad of activities such as poster making, slogan writing, PPT presentations for the students to keep them holistically engaged.
The prime focus of the School has always been to engage children actively in socially relevant activities to build competencies like self love, compassion, consideration, self empowerment and creating awareness about the ongoing plight of the Mother Earth.

Talent knows no boundaries, and like a wave overcomes all barriers

Amid the tough times of lockdown Adya Bhagat, a novice star of K. L. International School availed an opportunity to showcase her indelible talent as she participated  in  an online Talent Hunt  organized by The Adhyaan School on 20 April 2020. Her dance expressions decoded every feel beautifully and she won 1st position with a cash prize of Rs 50,000.
