Almost every region in the country has its own folk music, which reflects the way of life. These folk songs usually convey the value of nature, the bravery of historical characters, mythological stories and the importance of social cultural practices of the region.

To celebrate the diversity in Indian culture, an Inter-House Chorale Challenge was orchestrated in the IX-X wing where the students of all the houses represented different states of India and depicted their diversities in terms of culture, food and tradition. Folk songs of various states like Punjab, Rajasthan, Gujarat and Bihar were sung by our mellifluent singers where they created a musical aura and enthralled everyone by their performances.

Declaration of the result was an onerous task for our esteemed guest and judge, Mrs Manju Sharma, a faculty from Shivangi Sangeet Maha Vidyalaya as she was highly impressed by every recital and appreciated the profound hard work of the students.

At last, Red House conquered the First Position, Second Position was reserved by the Yellow House and the Third Position was secured by the Blue House.

Mr Sudhanshu Shekhar, the School Principal, who was elated to see the performances, congratulated all the participants and advised the students to always stay connected with their rich and varied culture.

De-stressing Mandala art Activity by III-V Wing students

Mandalas are geometric design patterns that offer several mental and emotional benefits. Mandala, which means “circle” in Sanskrit, is a sacred symbol that is used for meditation, prayer, healing, relaxation, and art therapy for both adults and children.

It will allow your little ones to expand their knowledge revolving around various geometric shapes and patterns. This is due to all the new colors, geometric shapes such as circles, triangles, stars, among others, sizes, and even emotions that they will be dealing with. Keeping up with the same thought in mind, the Sanskriti Club of our school organized a Mandala art activity for the students of III-V wing. All the students participated ardently and zealously in the activity and enhanced their confidence and expression with utmost ease. The activity proved to de-stress our students from the pressures of the competitive world.

Students Pledge to Preserve Cultural Heritage

A Nation's culture resides in the heart and the soul of its people.

Understanding one's Heritage, one's roots and one's ancestry is an important part of carrying out one's future. Bearing this in mind, Klites conducted a morning assembly and an Inter House Griffonage Competition. The tiny tots of classes III-V, with a motive to create awareness among the young minds regarding the importance of World Historical Monuments delivered a speech followed by a song.

On the other side, the creative hands of classes VI-VIII showcased their talent through a Graffiti Competition on the platform provided by the school.
