The compelling exhibits on the Revolt of 1857 transformed textbook learning into a powerful, firsthand experience, fostering curiosity, patriotism, and historical awareness.

The CBSE Young India Culinary Championship (YICC) 2026–27, held at K. L. International School, provided students of Classes IX–XII with an exciting platform to demonstrate culinary expertise through Category II – Fire Cooking. Reflecting the vision of NEP 2020 and the Skill India Mission, the competition promoted experiential learning, creativity, teamwork, nutritional awareness and practical skill development. Students prepared an impressive range of main-course dishes representing Modern Western, Asian and Indian cuisines, including falafel wraps, golden grilled paneer steaks, saffron rice and garlic-herb rice bowls. The participants displayed precision, innovation, hygiene and effective kitchen management. The entries were judged by Chef Brinda Mithal and Mr Rohil Bhatnagar, Assistant Professor, Swami Vivekanand Subharti University, who appreciated the students’ skills and offered valuable feedback. The event also enhanced career awareness and introduced students to opportunities in the culinary and hospitality sectors.
K. L. International School hosted the school-level of the CBSE Young India Culinary Championship (YICC) 2026–27, organised by CBSE in alignment with NEP 2020 and the Skill India Mission. Students of Classes VI–VIII participated in Category I – Non-Fire Cooking, demonstrating creativity, nutritional awareness and practical culinary skills. The young chefs prepared colourful and innovative salads, sandwiches, canapés and sushi using bread, vegetables, fruits, dairy products and savoury mixes. The Prodigy Club of the Middle Wing, K. L. International School, successfully hosted the AXIS 2026 Open Quiz Competition, offering students an engaging platform to showcase their knowledge, critical thinking, and teamwork. Four teams—The Apex Arrow, The Bold Beacon, The Circular Core, and The Dynamic Diamond—competed with great enthusiasm.
The quiz featured rounds on Science & Technology, Space Research, Sports, Current Affairs, Indian Heritage & Culture, Geography, Environment, Cinema, Music, and General Knowledge, along with audio-visual clues, picture identification, and rapid-fire questions that tested the participants' analytical skills and sharpened the audience's engagement.
All teams displayed confidence, sportsmanship, and coordination throughout. After a closely fought contest, The Apex Arrow claimed the Championship title, followed by The Bold Beacon in second place, The Circular Core in third, and The Dynamic Diamond in fourth.

To commemorate Kargil Diwas, the Kindergarten department of K. L. International School organised a vibrant Dress-Up Day for the students of Nursery, LKG, and UKG, fostering patriotism and respect for the brave soldiers of the nation.

The competition concluded with the announcement of results. Prayas House secured the first position for its portrayal of Africa, Prakash House was placed second for its performance themed on Brazil, and Pragati House secured the third position for its performance themed on New York.

Students spread kindness by designing and presenting Personalised Compliment Cards to their classmates. Their creativity was showcased in the Table Mat Competition, where they designed colourful table mats on different themes while learning proper table manners. They also participated in an interactive session on Traffic Rules and Road Safety, learning basic traffic signs and safe road practices through engaging activities.
The week concluded with a Review Day, where students revised and reflected on the values, etiquette, and life skills they had learned. The children transformed plain paper bags into colourful works of art using a variety of decorative papers, ribbons and colours etc. The activity gave every student a chance to showcase creativity, originality and fine motor skills while building confidence and enjoying friendly competition.

Anshi Singh and Divyam Sharma attained Zonal Bronze Medals in the National Science Olympiad (NSO). Each was presented with a cash prize of 1,000/- and a citation in recognition of their achievement.
Lakshay Arora earned the Zonal Bronze Medal in the International Mathematics Olympiad (IMO) and received a cash award of 1,000/- along with a citation.

During the session, experts explained the importance of following road safety regulations and highlighted key traffic rules. They stressed the need to obey speed limits, wear seat belts, follow traffic signals, and give the highest priority to the safety and well-being of children while driving school buses.

A special session was conducted by the coordinators and the teachers on 'Good Touch and Bad Touch' for the students of I-II wing. The session was organized to help young children understand the concept of personal safety in a simple, friendly and age-appropriate manner.
During the session, the teachers explained the difference between a good touch, which makes children feel safe, happy and comfortable and a bad touch, which may make them feel uneasy, scared or confused. The children were taught to speak up without hesitation and inform an adult such as a parent or a teacher if they ever felt uncomfortable or unsafe.
The session was made engaging through simple examples, clear explanations and interactive discussion, enabling the students to understand the message effectively. The teachers also guided the children that their body belongs to them and they should always protect themselves by saying “No,” moving away and immediately informing a trusted adult.
Overall, the session was highly informative and beneficial. It helped create awareness among the young learners about personal safety in a sensitive and meaningful way.

The Inter-House Mind Matters Skit Competition unfolded with resounding zeal on 11 May 2026 within the hallowed confines of the school auditorium. The Inter-House Verbal Combat—a premier Debate Competition for Classes IX and X—unfolded with unparalleled grandeur on 4 May 2026 in the school auditorium, epitomising the zenith of intellectual acumen and rhetorical eloquence. The august assembly was presided over by distinguished judges Ms Nidhi Gaur, Assistant Professor, Department of History, Dyal Singh College, Delhi, and Dr Stuti Sharma, Senior Resident, Department of Psychiatry, Lala Lajpat Rai Memorial Medical College.
Class X participants critically examined the complexities of energy crises amidst global geopolitical conflicts. At the same time, Class IX students deliberated on whether ‘Make in India’ catalyses domestic growth or is a constraint on global competitiveness. Sixteen participants presented compelling arguments marked by clarity, confidence, and analytical depth.

The ceremony was graced by the esteemed Chief Guest, Mr Vinayak Gopal Bhosale, SP City, Meerut, whose presence added great honour to the occasion. Some students also recited poems to show their appreciation.

To further accelerate the program an engaging PPT presentation was screened through which, the little ones were introduced to the inspiring journey of Sachin Tendulkar, including his early life, struggles, dedication, and remarkable achievements in the field of cricket. It reinforced the zeal of hard work and determination to attain success.
The basic rules and importance of cricket were explained in a simple and interactive manner which made it easier for the children to connect with the sport and develop interest in it.
A fun cricket activity was organized for the students filling the campus with a lively aura. The children participated with great enthusiasm and energy, enjoying every moment of the game. The productive day was not only entertaining but also encouraged teamwork, sportsmanship, and self-confidence. Our school enthusiastically celebrated World Health Day with the students of Classes I & II to promote awareness about good health and hygiene.
The young learners were guided on the importance of maintaining a healthy lifestyle. They were encouraged to reduce screen time for better eye health, consume nutritious food, and avoid junk food. Our school nurse conducted a hygiene check by examining the students’ nails and explained the significance of cleanliness for a healthy body.
The session also highlighted the importance of regular exercise and yoga. Students actively participated in a short yoga practice, making the learning experience both fun and engaging.
Overall, the celebration was informative and inspiring, motivating our little ones to adopt healthy habits in their daily lives.

K. L. International School organised an 'Inter-house Legacy Hut Competition' to develop the Multiskill Development under Kaushal Bodh. The primary objective of the event was to cultivate awareness and deepen students’ appreciation of the rich cultural heritage of the four EBSB (Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat) states—Arunachal Pradesh, Meghalaya, Uttar Pradesh and Manipur.
All four houses participated with ardour by curating aesthetically designed and intellectually engaging booths representing their allotted states. Pragati House obtained first position in the competition followed by Prayas House at the second position. The third position was bagged by Prerna House and Prakash House was at the fourth position. Each house exhibited meticulously, highlighting the traditions, festivals, indigenous cuisine, traditional attire, art forms and distinctive cultural practices of the respective regions. The presentations reflected thorough research, creativity and collaborative effort on the part of the students.
A special assembly was conducted by the primary wing highlighting the needs of preserving our past to enrich our present. The event served as an enlightening experience, significantly augmenting the students’ knowledge and fostering a sense of respect for India’s diverse cultural legacy. It also encouraged experiential learning and promoted teamwork and communication skills.

The session aimed at enhancing students’ mental mathematical skills and improving their speed and accuracy in calculations. The resource persons, Ms. Kanika Chawla and Ms. Kritika Sharma, explained how Abacus learning strengthens numerical ability and, through regular practice, improves concentration and memory, thereby supporting overall cognitive development.
The session also helped parents understand the importance of introducing such skills at an early stage. It was interactive and informative, addressing queries and providing practical insights into the learning process.

The KG Wing of K. L. International School celebrated Baisakhi, the vibrant harvest festival of India, with great enthusiasm and joy. The celebration aimed to familiarize young learners with the essence of Indian culture and the importance of agriculture in our lives.
To mark the occasion, students arrived at school dressed in colourful traditional attire, adding a festive spirit to the environment. The children were introduced to the significance of Baisakhi as a harvest festival and were sensitized to the rich agricultural heritage of our country. They were shown real samples of wheat stalks and various grains, helping them understand where their food comes from. Teachers engaged the students through visual aids by showing pictures of farmers working in the fields and explaining their vital role in sustaining our lives. The concept of hard work, gratitude, and respect for farmers was conveyed in a simple yet meaningful manner. The celebration also included a creative craft activity, where children enthusiastically made beautiful Baisakhi-themed artwork, showcasing their imagination and excitement.
